Progress from KS1 to KS2

Progress has been measured from a combined KS1 reading, writing and maths score and compared nationally. A score of 0 is the national average for pupils with similar prior attainment, a positive score represents progress above national average from similar starting points and a negative score below national average from similar starting points. A negative score does not imply that pupils have not made progress between keystages 1 and 2. (The DfE deems -5 to be sufficient progress in reading and mathematics and -7 to be sufficient progress in writing for a school to be above floor targets)
